Ryogoku Kokugikan

There are many sumo stables in Ryogoku, the mecca of Sumo. You may see some powerful sumo wrestlers taking a stroll in the streets. If you call ahead, some stables allow visitors to view the morning practices. There are also many chanko nabe (stew eaten by sumo wrestlers) restaurants run by retired sumo wrestlers in the neighborhood.
