Akihabara, also known as “Akiba”, is one of the most famous “electronic towns” in the world. It has also recently become famous for its game shops and anime shops – a mecca for “otaku” (people obsessed with games and anime). On weekends, you may see people in the streets of Akiba dressed up as their favorite anime character.
