Hollywood film set in Tokyo to be released September 13, 2013 in Japan

Hollywood film The Wolverine is slated for Japan-wide release on September 13, 2013 in Japan. Set in Tokyo, it was filmed at locations including Zojo-ji Temple and Tokyo Tower. The eponymous hero, played by Hugh Jackman, is a mutant with extraordinary healing abilities and a slow-aging, virtually immortal physique. His foe, Lord Shingen, is portrayed by one of Japan’s prided international actors, Hiroyuki Sanada. The rivals clash in an enormous Japanese mansion, in a battle between Wolverine’s claws and Shingen’s katana sword… Another not-to-be-missed is the fresh silver-screen debut of two top Japanese fashion models: Tao Okamoto as Mariko, who falls in love with Wolverine; and Rila Fukushima as Yukio, who turns out to be his perfect partner.
