A new destination in the Tokyo Station Marunouchi district!

On March 21, 2013, a brand new shopping destination opened in front of JR Tokyo Station’s Marunouchi South Gate. KITTE is the first commercial facility developed by Japan Post. The name is a play on kitte (postage stamps) and kite (come on over!).
KITTE will occupy seven floors, from B1F to 6F, of the JP Tower, which combines a preserved and renovated portion of the former Tokyo Central Post Office with a new structure. Housing a total about 100 tenants, it will offer foods, shopping, and dining with a focus on traditional flavors, popular local cuisines, and articles only available here.
Each floor will have a unique theme. One floor is dedicated to popular local dishes from across Japan, for instance, another to Japanese aesthetics, and another to the fusion of old and new sensibilities. Mark the date in your calendar—March 21 will broaden your horizons on the shopping front.
