Nippara Limestone Cave

The Nippara Limestone Cave takes about 40 minutes to walk through. Measuring a total 800 meters in length, it is the largest natural cave in the Kanto region. The average annual temperature is 11ºC. A footpath is prepared for the visitors’ safety.

Mitsugo Limestone Cave

Mitsugo Limestone Cave, measuring a total 100 meters in length, is a three-level pit cave. Highlights include Ryujin-no-Taki (Dragon God Falls) believed to provide the water of longevity, and a stalagmite (mound formed by ceiling drippings) in the shape of a turtle.

Otake Limestone Cave

Otake Limestone Cave, measuring a total 300 meters in length, is the largest of the caves dotting the Yozawa River. Visitors are asked to wear a rental helmet to prevent bumping their head on the narrow passages.
