Explore Japan’s broadcasting history at this interactive museum, studio and video library
The world’s first museum created exclusively for exhibiting broadcasting items, the NHK Museum of Broadcasting is located just a short walk from Tokyo Tower and free to enter. The museum is home to around 30,000 items of broadcasting equipment and exhibits a variety of illustrations, panels, and videos.
Inspect the equipment displays on the first floor before experiencing state of the art 8K ultra HD visuals and virtual images on the second floor. On the third floor, you’ll find displays covering the history of broadcasting in Japan, while the fourth is dedicated to the Program Library.
