Ocean views and starry skies from this bubbling hot spring

Miharashi-no-yu hot spring is situated next to the ocean on Hachijojima—the southernmost island of the seven Izu islands, 300km away from central Tokyo,

Equipped with a large indoor hot spring pool, and outdoor bath in the shape of Hachijojima. The spring water is grey-greenish and a little muddy, but don't let that put you off. Be aware that the outdoor bath has a rotating schedule for male and female so research in advance. For an even more magnificent sight, come after the sun goes down to view the night sky.
