Tamarokuto Science Center 多摩六都科学館

A science museum where you can enjoy a starry sky in one of the world’s largest planetariums

Located in Nishitokyo, Tamarokuto Science Center is an interactive museum that the whole family can enjoy. This interactive museum is known for the "Science Egg": a planetarium with a world-class projection system. An astonishing 140 million stars are projected in the planetarium, and visitors can experience a realistic starry sky along with the mysteriousness of space. Theater showtimes are updated about every two months and English-language presentations are available, but it's best to check ahead of your visit.

The museum also has five exhibition halls dedicated to different facets of scientific discovery. Visitors can experience approximately 100 different exhibits, and the museum also hosts programs for observing, experimenting and crafting in the labs and science classrooms.
