1-23-1 Komazawa, Setagaya City, Tokyo

The Museum of Zen Culture and History was established in the Kounkan building, part of Komazawa University.
Comprising of two floors—the lower floor and upper floor—the museum houses both a permanent collection and a temporary one. From learning about Zen musical instruments, to viewing a recreation of the living space of trainee monks, to learning about its origins, be educated in and inspired by the art of Zen.
The Kounkan building itself is also worthy of note—with lightening-shaped walls and a central well—it has been designated a Historical Building by the Tokyo government.
