Musashino Park 都立武蔵野公園

Amid its grasslands, Musashino Park retains a rustic atmosphere, thanks in part to the wooded area alongside the Nogawa river. It has a nursery where seedlings are planted for subsequent transplant into other parks or along streets in Tokyo, and you can note their growth as you stroll around. Spring brings a prolonged period of cherry blossom, as various varieties bloom in sequence, while in autumn, the maple leaves along the Nogawa river turn a beautiful hue of red. The Musashino Fountain (Jabu-jabu pond) is popular with children whenever it spouts, and the spacious field is another recommended spot. Walk through 5,000 trees, including cherry and maple varieties, at Musashino Park. While you're here, pitch a few balls at the baseball field and hold a barbecue with friends.
