Perfect for families with small children, it houses the official collection of children's books and stories in Japan. The library is the largest of its kind, with around 400,000 volumes of Japanese and international children's books and stories.
The iconic brick building was built in 1906 and now holds a book gallery, museum, and open reading rooms open to the public. Recently, the new Arch Building was added to the building complex. The Arch Building hosts rooms for research and seminars dedicated to learning about children's learning of literature.
