Kyu-Iwasaki-tei Gardens was formerly the principal residence of the Iwasaki family. Hisaya, the eldest son of Mitsubishi founder, Yataro Iwasaki, constructed the existing buildings.Back then, the grounds were approximately 50000 square meters and contained 20 buildings.
