The 300-meter-long ginkgo-lined avenue at Meiji Jingu Gaien is a celebrated spot for admiring autumn foliage. The Jingu Gaien Ginkgo Festival, organized to coincide with the leaf peeping season, attracts a large crowd with stalls offering gourmet food and fine merchandise, as well as family events. Take in the spectacular view of a golden yellow tunnel created by 146 ginkgo trees against the stately Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery, and the majestic blanket of fallen leaves covering the ground.
