The predecessor of Shiokaze Park was Area 13 Park, which was part of area No. 13 formed through the first revision to the Tokyo Bay Improvement Plan. With the subsequent development of area No. 13 and the surrounding area as the new Tokyo waterfront subcenter, the park underwent a complete renovation from 1992 to 1996 to be reborn as Shiokaze Park. Shiokaze Park is the largest park in the new Tokyo waterfront subcenter, and features facilities that match its seaside location. It is adjacent to Odaiba Seaside Park and has fantastic views of Tokyo Bay against the Rainbow Bridge.
