Experience a thrilling matchday atmosphere under a famous roof
A famous work by Kenzo Tange with a beautiful, suspended roof design, Yoyogi National Stadium was constructed for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
With the “1st Gymnasium” constructed using a high-tension suspended roof design and the mortar-shaped “2nd Gymnasium” topped by a beautifully conical ceiling, this stadium’s construction has received international acclaim.
Yoyogi National Stadium was designated as an important national cultural property in 2021. It is currently used for various sporting events and cultural events. The 1st Gymnasium also served as a competition venue during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2021.
