Cartoonist Machiko Hasegawa and her older sister Mariko collected the 700 works of art (Japanese paintings, Western paintings, glass, ceramics and carvings) of this museum. Items on display change 5 times a year. The 'Machiko Corner' displays Machiko Hasegawa's original comics as well as the ceramics and watercolors that she created in her free time.

Every year during the summer the museum holds a 'Sasae-san exhibit.'
