Mikurashima Island appears to float in the middle of Kuroshio current.

Mountain tours must have a guide.

Visitors must swim carefully so as not to scare the dolphins.

Mikurashima is a place where one can fulfill the dream of swimming with dolphins. These marvelous creatures can also be seen from the safety of the floater or the boat, and even from the land to the delight of swimmers and non-swimmers alike, and to those who might be afraid of getting too close.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government promotes ecotourism to protect the natural environment for the dolphins and other precious flora and fauna of Mikurashima.
If you wish to go to this small island filled with great attractions, you need to arrange accommodation since day trips and camping facilities are not available.
