On a fine day, the Kambiki Observatory is a scenic spot that commands a view of the Izu Peninsula, Mt. Fuji, and all of the seven Izu Islands, save for Hachijojima. The site is listed in the New 100 Best Views of Tokyo. The clear waters pictured on the left, which extend from the bay to Kambikiura and Nakanoura, are utterly beautiful and mesmerizing.
