The Ogasawara Visitors Center features the history of the Ogasawara Islands since their birth as oceanic islands, as well as its beautiful ocean, information on rare fauna and flora and whales/dolphins and introduces visitors to the conservation activities they are engaged in to protect the precious environment and promote ecotourism initiatives. The center also hosts all sorts of other programs such as exhibits, lectures, do-it-yourself workshops and nature observation meetings.
