Musashino-Chuo Park is located almost directly between Inokashira Park to the east and Koganei Park to the west. A factory of a large military supplier, Nakajima Aircraft, once occupied the area that is now the park before World War II. After the war, the site was used as housing for U.S. military personnel. Eventually the wishes of nearby residents came true and the area was reborn as a park.

Centered on a large grassy field and sports field, this park allows visitors to experience nature throughout the changing seasons together with refreshing breezes under the shining sun. Visitors can also enjoy various forms of recreation, including flying kites and model airplanes.
