Monoimina-no-mikoto Shrine 物忌奈命神社(神津島)

4―1, Kozushima Village, Tokyo

Listed on the Engishiki Jinmyocho—the official register of Japanese shrines—back in 927AD, this historical shrine is one of only two on the small island. As the beliefs of the islanders revolve around the ocean and the fishing industry in particular, daily offerings of fish are made to the deity.
