Taishakuten-Sando is the approach to Shibamata Taishakuten (Daikeiji Temple) in Katsushika City, an area famous as the setting of the popular movie series Otoko wa tsurai yo ("It's Tough Being a Man"). The 200-meter-long path leading from Keisei Shibamata Station to Shibamata Taishakuten retains the nostalgic atmosphere of the shitamachi area home to creative merchants and artisans in premodern Tokyo. Much on a snack while strolling along gazing at the old streetscape and the many shops that survived the air raids of World War II.
