The Tanabata Festival in Fussa draws more than 400,000 visitors annually. The Fussa Tanabata Festival started in 1951 and has since become a neighborhood institution. This year, the folk dance parade, many other activities and events are planned as well, such as the Tanabata Orihime contest. And the main street, in front of the City Hall, will host many shops and stalls.
