Nogawa Park

Main content starts here.

This park is blessed with great rustic beauty, as well as abundant water and greenery. The land that is now Nogawa Park was previously the golf course of International Christian University. That golf course was purchased by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government from 1974, and the park was developed under the Musashino Forest Initiative along with green zones such as the Jindai Botanical Gardens, Musashino Park, Tama Cemetery, Chofu Airport, Sengenyama Park, and Fuchunomori Park. Nogawa Park was opened in June 1980.

Nogawa Park spans the cities of Chofu, Koganei, and Mitaka, and is separated into three sections by the No River and Tohachi Avenue: the north side of the No River touching the Kokubunji cliff line with abundant nature, the rolling grassy field between the road and No River, and the south side with broad, open grassy fields, tennis courts, gateball courts, and athletic facilities. All of these sections feature greenery and a relaxing atmosphere.
