Tokyo Station Gallery opened in 1988 in the red brick structure of the Tokyo Station Marunouchi Building that was designed in 1914 by the famous Meiji Era architect, KingoTatsuno. Following restoration work on the station building designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan, the gallery reopened in 2012. It holds five exhibitions a year themed mainly around modern art.
