Hibiya Park Marunouchi Ondo Bon-odori Dance Festival

Every year, a huge crowd flocks to the urban bon-odori dance festival held in the osasis of Tokyo, Hibiya Park.
Employees of businesses in the Marunouchi-Hibiya area, foreigners, and local residents form circle upon circle around the fountain and dance to the “Marunouchi Ondo.”
This “Marunouchi Ondo,” meaning Marunouchi song, was composed in 1932 by Yaso Saijo and Shinpei Nakayama and is the base of the most famous bon-odori song, “Tokyo Ondo.”
