Gokokuji Temple 護国寺

5-40-1 Otsuka, Bunkyo City, Tokyo

Say a prayer or two at Gokokuji Temple. This cultural property is an underrated look into Japan's history. The main hall is one of Tokyo's best examples of architecture from the Genroku era (1688-1703). Visit on the 18th of the month to see the main devotional statue of Kannon.
