2. Curry Rice Ethiopia Main Branch

Curry Rice Ethiopia is a popular restaurant where the drama’s main character, Akira, wants to join the line of customers waiting to get a taste of the specialty curry rice. It serves curry made from a dozen different spices, and which can be prepared up to 70 times spicier on request.

One of the movie’s settings is the book town of Kanda Jimbo-cho, featuring the Seishindo-shoten Bookstore with its façade of yellow glazed “scratch tile” similar to that employed in the former Imperial Hotel.

Featured in Morisaki shoten no hibi (The Days of Morisaki Bookstore; movie)

Nakano-shoten Bookstore offers a lesson in the history of bookbinding with its lineup of scrolls, manuscripts, and books produced by early woodblock printing. All the books that appear in the fictional Morisaki Bookstore are the real store’s real products.

5. Yaguchi-shoten Bookstore (Kanda Jimbo-cho, Chiyoda-ku)

Featured in Biblia koshodo no jiken techo (The Biblia Used Books Mystery Files; TV drama)

Yaguchi-shoten Bookstore is one of the oldest stores in the Kanda book town. The retro wood-and-mortar building is featured in this drama as well as in many other works.
