Transmitting the charms of Japan—TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN®

Full of places to enjoy from morning to night

The former Narihirabashi Station, renamed TOKYO SKYTREE Station and now serving as the gateway to TOKYO SKYTREE, leads to a new community, TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN, at the foot of the tower featuring a lineup of popular shops and restaurants.

TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages, being home to a variety of attractions from Tokyo Solamachi, one of the largest commercial facilities in Tokyo counting a total 312 establishments, to the KONICA MINOLTA Planetarium “Tenku” in TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN, a dream theater installed with state-of-the-art equipment, to the Sumida Aquarium, open until 21:00 and hence friendly to visitors on the way home from work, and more.

Trend meets tradition—Tokyo Solamachi

Tokyo Solamachi, with the concept “new shitamachi style,” houses a wide variety of establishments that embrace trends and the same time the lively shitamachi feel of old downtown Tokyo. And in great numbers, too—the multitude of eateries in the food court and of groceries, fashion, and sundries shops is such that it takes more than one visit to see them all.

Shops opening for the first time in Tokyo include Yamada-ya famous for its Sanuki udon wheat flour noodles from Kagawa, and THE CHEESE GARDEN popular in the Nasu region of Tochigi. New offerings from established businesses include Samantha Thavasa Anniversary focusing on gifts, TOKYO BANANA TREE unveiling a new variety of confectionary, and Edo Tokyo Sushi-tsune with a stand-up sushi corner. There are also many specialty shops exclusive to TOKYO SKYTREE including SCOTCH GRAIN, a shoe company that handles all manufacturing in the Sumida-ku employing a technique practiced by no other shoemaker in Japan, and Ganso Shokuhin Sampuru-ya, which produces samples of dishes that are an all-important aspect of Japanese culture. Check out your favorite shops and TOKYO SKYTREE limited-edition products before they attract a long line of customers.
